About the MASTAF Study Group
Innovative Multi-Center Research of the Ankle and Foot
Welcome to the Multicenter Arthroscopy Study of the Ankle and Foot (MASTAF) Study Group. We are a group of board-certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeons with a focus in our practices on the treatment of ankle and foot injuries. We all have a strong interest in and focus on medical research and put this group together to evaluate ankle and foot injuries and treatment. We practice and teach at some of the leading medical institutions in the world.
We treat both the athletic and arthritic patients and hope to learn more about these populations. Foot and ankle injuries are very common in the athletic population. Arthroscopic surgery of the ankle and subtalar joint has been proven as an effective treatment of arthritis.
By pooling our individual patient data and outcomes, we are able to create a powerful research tool regarding the arthroscopic treatment of ankle and foot injuries. As a part of the MASTAF study group, we are seeking answers to questions related to the surgical and arthroscopic treatment of ankle and foot injuries.
